Start Here

A place for thoughtful reflection on faith, work, health, service, and responsibility—written to help you think clearly and stay aligned as life changes.

If you’re looking for motivation, productivity hacks, or a system to follow, this site probably isn’t the right place.

This site exists because I’m trying to live more deliberately—and because writing helps me do that. I’m learning how easy it is to drift through life: to inherit priorities without questioning them, to pursue goals because they’re expected, and to slowly move in directions I never consciously chose.

Writing gives me a way to slow down. It forces me to think more carefully about what I’m aiming at, why I’m aiming there, and whether that direction actually fits what I believe about life, faith, and contentment.

If any of that resonates, you’re welcome here.

Stop drifting through life

I’m trying to stop drifting and start being more intentional—not so I can achieve more or optimize my performance, but to be true to who God made me to be and to pursue faithfulness rather than success.

I’ve found that a life lived in relationship with God—in trust, obedience, and submission to His purposes—is the only foundation that actually holds up over time. It gives me peace when things go well, and stability when they don’t. You may see this the same way, or you may not. Either way, you’re welcome here.

As I think out loud and share my struggles, I hope you find encouragement—and maybe a nudge to be a little more intentional yourself.

Why I write

I didn’t start writing to build an audience or make a point. I needed a way to stay accountable—to myself, to the people entrusted to my care, and to the values I say matter most.

Drift rarely shows up all at once. It sneaks in gradually, through small compromises, unexamined choices, and momentum we stop questioning. Writing creates a record. It helps me notice drift before it hardens into regret, and revisit assumptions before they quietly become identity.

Most of what I write grows out of tensions I haven’t resolved—between ambition and contentment, certainty and humility, comfort and service. I don’t write because these tensions are settled. I write because ignoring them left me depressed, anxious, and burnt out.

How to read this site

This isn’t a site to skim or binge.

Some pieces are short. Others take time. None are meant to deliver quick answers or tidy conclusions. If something feels unresolved, it probably is. I’ve found that as I age, I’m becoming less certain about a lot of things.

Take what’s useful. Leave what isn’t. You don’t need to agree with me or adopt my framework. The goal isn’t agreement—it’s thoughtfulness, and maybe a bit more clarity. A piece that doesn’t resonate now might later. Or it might never. Either is fine.

What you’ll find here

Faith – Where I imperfectly integrate my faith into my thoughts, choices and actions.

Health – Where I care for my body, mind, and relationships as the building blocks of a life well lived

Projects – Where I learn, build, and explore things that interest me

Media – External mentions and references if you want more context about me

Not every piece fits neatly into one area, and many overlap. That’s intentional. Life rarely separates itself cleanly, and neither does careful thinking.

There’s no recommended order.

I’m not trying to lead you anywhere. This site helps me stay aligned with what matters, and to think clearly enough to choose deliberately rather than drift. If it helps you do the same, even occasionally, then it’s doing its job. If not, that’s useful too. Clarity cuts both ways.

These are longer-form pieces that establish my core ideas and worldview. They explore the questions, assumptions, and themes that shape the rest of what I post.
