Stop Drifting and Live YOUR Life
Drift looks harmless. Comfortable even.
Days fill up. Responsibilities stack up. Good intentions stay just that…intentions.
And somewhere along the way, the life we want to build gets replaced by the one that happened to us.
Like John Lennon wrote, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
This site is an effort to fix that tendency in my own life. Not with hype or formulas. And definitely not with some “10 step plan” or “secret hack.”
Just with some deliberate thinking about how to live with more intention. How to live a life of faith, service, community, and the long path to becoming someone you’re actually proud to be.
I write as a form of therapy…a way to slow myself down and think about things rather than simply react. There aren’t a lot of perfected stories or highly-crafted writings, just:
- Essays I write to help me structure my thinking about life’s challenges
- Reflections on my faith, relationship with God, and what I’m learning every day
- Discussions about the projects I’m working on driven by my curiosity, skill-building, and service
I don’t write because I have everything figured out.
I write because I’m trying to stop drifting and choose where I want to go and the person I want to be more intentionally…more deliberately.
If that resonates with you, you’re welcome here.

Rethinking What Success Looks Like — to me
I spent years pursuing what success was supposed to be — advancing, earning, building, accumulating.
Somewhere along the way, it became clear that even when I was “in charge,” I was still following a script I’d never stopped to question.
The script didn’t get me to fulfillment or contentment, it led to depression, anxiety, and burnout.
Lately, I’ve been more interested in asking better questions than chasing better titles — and in deciding, deliberately, what kind of life is worth building.
